Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
The Senior Vendor Account Manager will be evaluated based on the following KPIs:
* Sales and revenue growth
* Margin expansion
* Catalog size increase
* Vendor satisfaction ratings
* Internal stakeholder satisfaction ratings
Main Responsibilities:
Develop and present business insights for key account relationships to increase sales, margin, and catalog size
Work effectively with publishing professionals in various settings, including conferences and meetings
Identify new content opportunities, including new content categories
Collaborate on new contracts and strategic thinking around potential contract renewals
Take leadership roles in vendor onboarding, newly contracted relationships, and ongoing relationships
Maintain accurate details in systems and tools designed to manage the business
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you must possess:
* Curiosity and passion for media, publishing, and consumer/library patron engagement
* Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
* Analytical/decision-making and problem-solving skills
* Negotiation skills and relationship management acumen
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
* Ability to work with diverse teams and people pleasantly and professionally
Preferred Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred. Experience in publishing or digital media is also desired.
Work Environment:
This role requires occasional overnight travel for conferences and/or key account on-site visits. The ability to sit for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and attend meetings, trainings, and presentations is necessary.
