Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and training in various technical subjects, including but not limited to electrical. This role requires a passion for teaching and the ability to engage students effectively while fostering a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Teaching classes in both a classroom and lab environment.
- Maintaining a good working relationship with industry employers.
- Assisting graduates with placement in their related career field.
- Staying up to date with industry standards.
Experience
- 3 years experience as an electrician.
- Preferred experience in Industrial/Commercial/Maintenance applications.
- Working knowledge of electrical codes and code book.
- Have strong organizational skills and a genuine sensitivity to the needs of students.
- Knowledgeable of the course content and proficient in all skills taught within the program.
- Competent, as evidence by satisfactory performance of skills, of all competencies taught in curriculum.
- Preperation in educational theory and techniques preferred. This can include formal education, continuining education and/or in-service education.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Computer proficiency.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Have a professional attitude and manner that reflects the high standards of MTI and the program you represent.
