HIGH SCHOOL RECRUITER
Midwest Technical Institute, an established career college with campuses throughout the Midwest and Mississippi Delta region, is seeking a full-time High School Recruiter for our Peoria, Illinois Campus.
GOAL: To facilitate student’s entrance into Midwest Technical Institute/Delta Technical College and support them in their ongoing educational progress.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma.
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
- Have a professional attitude and manner that reflects the high standards of MTI and a desire to shape futures.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively over the phone.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with students, parents, staff and faculty.
- Have strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multi-task and succeed with strict guidelines.
- Admissions/Recruiting experience is desired
JOB DUTIES
- Adheres to all State, Federal, and Accrediting standards and regulations, consistent with the highest ethical standards.
- Adhere to approved policies and procedures in the conduct of all work related activities.
- Visit high schools, educating prospective students on the courses that MTI has to offer.
- Contact guidance counselors and occupational teachers, providing them with information to pass on to their students during college or career counseling.
- Interview applicants to determine interest, motivation and effort, plus the ability to qualify for various programs.
- Tour facilities with prospective students (and families).
- Discuss accreditation, placement assistance, and student services.
- Discuss standards and qualifications for each program with prospective students.
- Handle enrollment application process, conduct interviews of prospective students, and monitor enrollment activities.
- Meet minimum required enrollment goals.
- Communicate with prospective students by phone with excellent customer service skills.
- Update and track leads on a daily basis in a variety of ways, phone, letter, e-mail etc.
- Work may require some “variable” hours.
- Attend graduation ceremonies, monthly program and staff meetings, open houses, “faculty training”, and other required functions.
- Contact prospective students and parents throughout the school year to set-up tours
