*Job Overview*
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of CNC / EDM equipment and machinery. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Repair Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.
We are a fun and driven work space with a lot of room to grow, most days would consist of being at the shop here in Morton, IL or out on a call local/out of town if willing. We do have a great expense plan in place and cost for travel are included. We pay out 0.67 a mile for out of town jobs with a $50 a day bonus meals.
*Responsibilities*
- Diagnose issues with equipment using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Utilize an ohmmeter to measure electrical resistance and troubleshoot electrical components.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance of machinery.
- Document all repairs and maintenance activities accurately in the system.
- Collaborate with other technicians and departments to resolve complex issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in repair technologies.
*Qualifications*
- Proven experience as a Repair Technician or similar role in a technical environment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, including an ohmmeter.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and other departments.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
