Job Overview
We are seeking passionate Gymnastics Instructors to join our team and provide high-quality gymnastics instruction to students of all ages and skill levels. If you have a love for gymnastics and enjoy working with children, this position is perfect for you!
Duties
- Follow lesson plans and drills prepared for classes
- Maintain student progressions with evaluation system
- Take accurate class attendance daily
- Attend to all responsibilities before and after class (personal items put away, check mailbox, set up for class, take attendance etc)
- Follow up with parents/students in the gym and/or lobby before and after class
- Attend all mandatory meetings and training sessions
- Be willing to sub as needed
- Start and end each class on time
- Present during all classes the week of Group Parent / Teacher conferences
- Learn students' and parents' names
- Know your work schedule
- Be responsible with gym equipment - use it properly and clean up after class
- Engage with trial students to encourage enrollment
- Ensure students are learning skills in a fun and safe way to maintain student enrollment
- Uphold gym policies and be aware of gym-wide discipline policies
- Check emails/texts before coming in to work and respond to communication promptly
- Be respectful of all other classes and mindful of traffic patterns throughout the gym
- Maintain certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and USA Gymnastics Safety Certification - always be aware of educational opportunities
- Occasionally participate in continued education training by watching videos, reading articles, etc
Requirements
- Previous coaching experience not necessary, but a plus
- Great teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work well with children of all ages and skill levels
- Tumbling or cheerleading experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
