What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trust Officer Associate position at Midwest Trust Company?
The Midwest Trust Company is looking for an Associate Trust Officer who will work with high net worth clients to develop estate planning techniques and asset management strategies.
This position is not required to meet annual new business goals or have a marketing orientation. However, we do provide a competitive new business incentive program allowing marketing-oriented Trust Administrators the opportunity to significantly increase compensation.

Duties include
- Learn to manage or assist with an existing book of trust and investment management account
- Coordinate the client's overall investment, financial, estate, and income tax planning to assist the client in achieving specific trust and asset management objectives
- Review, initiate, and report account activity in compliance with legal requirements and internal procedures
- Communicate effectively with clients and their advisors on all trust and asset management objectives

Requirements
Experience, Education, Certifications, Licenses required to perform essential functions
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field
- Trust administration experience preferred, if no experience advanced degree could compensate
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities required to perform essential functions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation and excellent relationship skills
Work Environment and Physical Demands required to perform essential functions
- Moderate noise (business office with computers, phone, printers, light traffic)
- Ability to sit at a computer for an extended period of time
- Regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and telephone
- Specific vision abilities include close vision requirements due to computer work
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in business or law degree desired
