What are your responsibilities?
As a Medical Receptionist you will answer all incoming calls to the facility and relay information in an accurate and concise manner. The Medical Receptionist greets patients and visitors to the facility in a welcoming and friendly fashion. In this role you will:
- Perform an efficient and smooth patient registration process while providing excellent customer satisfaction
- Obtain and witness the patient’s or legal guardian’s signatures on legal forms
- Call insurance companies to verify benefits
- Enter and scan information into the computer system
- Collect deductibles, co-payments and payments for services
- Review future surgery schedules and call patients for personal information not obtained during the scheduling process
- Prepare patient charts and file correctly
- Participate in pertinent educational offerings and facility meetings
- Perform office functions as directed by the Business Office Supervisor
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the U.S.
- General understanding of medical procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to relate to and work with others
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience working as a receptionist

Tues 9-6p
Friday 8-4p
