Position Summary:
Safely and efficiently deliver products to customers within designated timeframes, ensuring
accurate handling, timely delivery and a consistently high level of customer service. This role is
essential in maintaining customer satisfaction and ensuring the proper execution of delivery
operations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conducts thorough safety inspections on delivery vehicles before departure to ensure they meet
safety standards and are fully operational.
- Reviews orders both before and after deliver to confirm:
o Completeness of order.
o Accuracy of charges and documentation.
o Customer satisfaction with the delivery experience.
- Assists in the loading and unloading of items from vehicles, ensuring products are handled
carefully to prevent damage.
- Obtains delivery confirmations, including required signatures or documentation to verify
successful delivery.
- Manages returns, cores and warranty claims in accordance with company policies, ensuring
accurate processing.
- Collects payments for Cash on Delivery (C.O.D.) accounts and submits them promptly to the
accounting department following proper procedures.
- Prepares detailed reports and documentation related to deliveries, including any incidents,
discrepancies or feedback.
- Consistently wear and maintain appropriate safety equipment, following all safety
protocols.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by:
o Promptly responding to customer questions or inquiries.
o Addressing customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
o Maintaining clear and effective communication with customers throughout the delivery process.
Qualifications and Preferred Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A clean driving record with no recent violations or accidents.
- Ability and willingness to adhere strictly to assigned routes, transportation laws and safety
regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, including forklifts and pallet
jacks and lift trucks.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license appropriate for the equipment being operated.
Working Conditions:

- Regularly required to use hands to handle, feel objects and reach with arms; must be able to
talk and hear.
- Ability to communicate effectively, including talking and hearing, in various settings.
- Engage in frequent walking, standing, climbing, kneeling, crouching or crawling.
- Capable of operating motor vehicles safely, including navigating various terrains and weather
conditions.
- Regularly lift and/or move objects between 10-50lbs, and occasionally lift/move items weighing
over 100lbs.
- Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, climb or balance.
- Occasionally required to sit for extended periods, climb ladders or operate lift
trucks.
- Work involves exposure to varying weather conditions and the use of ladders or elevated
platforms.
- Must be comfortable working on ladders and operating forklift trucks.
