Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our Neurology team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, focusing on comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of various health conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of clinical practices and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments for patients
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and develop individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Administer medications and manage medication therapy, ensuring safe practices in medication administration.
- Provide specialized care in areas such as Dementia, MS, Parkinson's, Migraines, Stroke, Seizures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate discharge planning and ensure continuity of care.
- Interpret laboratory results and integrate findings into patient management strategies.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care strategies.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current Nurse Practitioner certification and state licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Neurology experience preferred, not required.
- Proficiency in coding for medical billing purposes is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make sound clinical decisions under pressure.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in nursing practice.
- Comfortable documenting electronically, no paper charting.
