Midwestern Pet Foods, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Training and Development Manager to lead and support our employee learning initiatives. This position plays a vital role within the Human Resources team and is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of training programs that enhance workforce capability and compliance across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have experience utilizing Alchemy training software to deliver and track employee training, as well as a working knowledge of UKG payroll systems to support HR functions more broadly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage employee training and development programs using the Alchemy software platform.
- Customize training content to meet compliance, safety, and operational needs across departments.
- Partner with department leaders to identify training gaps and deliver targeted learning solutions.
- Maintain and update employee training records and certifications in Alchemy.
- Conduct onboarding sessions for new employees, ensuring seamless integration into company culture and practices.
- Collaborate with the HR team to support broader employee engagement, performance, and development initiatives.
- Assist with payroll-related processes and reporting in UKG, providing backup support as needed.
- Track and report training metrics and KPIs to demonstrate effectiveness and ensure continuous improvement.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and learning technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in training and development or a related HR role.
- Hands-on experience with Alchemy or a comparable learning management system (LMS) is preferred.
- Familiarity with UKG payroll systems or other HRIS/payroll platforms is strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
