This position is an entry-level Deposit Operations role focused on support for Exception Item Module (“EIM”) administration and operational support.
Responsibilities
- Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures as well as applicable state and federal banking regulations while performing all job responsibilities.
- Performs the following Exception Item Module (“EIM”) duties on a daily basis:
- Inputs pay or return decisions on Non-Sufficient Fund items and completes the processing of the Non-Sufficient Fund items.
- Ensures prompt and timely resolution of Non-Post Items.
- Reviews and processes Stop Payment items.
- Reviews and processes Automatic Clearing House (“ACH”) disputes through Centrix DTS.
- Reviews and processes Zelle payment disputes.
- Reviews and processes all Federal Reserve Adjustments.
- Reviews accounts with two-signature restrictions.
- Processes chargebacks and returns.
- Processes outgoing ACH returns, including Positive Pay and Reclamations.
- Completes Large Dollar verifications.
- Monitors the Federal Reserve’s Availability of Funds and Collection of Check (“Reg CC”) compliance items and prepares its monthly report.
- Reconciles assigned accounts on a daily and end of month basis.
- Processes Statement Cycle Exception requests.
- Monitors paid savings bond interest and attaches the necessary addenda’s to the portfolio.
- Assists other Deposit Operations team members, as necessary:
- Completing deposit verifications;
- Completing research requests;
- Responding to and acting on a variety of internal and external customer requests;
- Handling other miscellaneous departmental duties, including back-up for other roles.
- Assists the Deposit Operations Team Leader with the review and update of procedures for the EIM support role on an annual basis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Post high school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
In addition to education, prefer 1-2 year of experience in a support-related role.
Banking or financial experience is preferred.
