Midwood Smokehouse is looking to add an experienced line cook to our Birkdale Village - Huntersville team. We provide the Carolina's with the best BBQ the city has to offer. Line Cook daily responsibilities include:
- Create mouth-watering barbecue dishes from scratch, following our recipes to produce consistent and high-quality results.
- Master and adhere to standard barbecue cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen practices.
- Smoke a variety of meats, including pork, beef, chicken, and ribs, using traditional hardwood smokers. Additionally, cook other menu items using a flat-top grill and fryers.
- Portion all products accurately, follow recipes precisely, and ensure that plate presentation showcases the authenticity of our barbecue.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhere to sanitization standards, and follow all food handling guidelines to ensure safety and hygiene.
We Are Looking for a Line Cook who:
- Is able to lead a team to consistently produce excellent results.
- Can excel in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
- Has at least two years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
- Has good English communication skills.
- Is comfortable standing for long periods and can lift up to 50 pounds, if needed.
- Has the flexibility to work weekends and some holidays.
