Duties
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist clients with mobility and physical activities to promote independence.
- Monitor and record vital signs and health changes, reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
- Engage clients in social activities and companionship to enhance emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Support clients with meal preparation, nutrition, and hydration needs.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an In Home Caregiver or in a related healthcare field is preferred.
- Knowledge of geriatric care practices and emergency medicine principles.
- Familiarity with outpatient services and inpatient care settings such as PICU or trauma centers is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and medical professionals.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting and transferring clients safely.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Reliable transportation for travel between client homes may be required.
