Overview of Position
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated self-starter based in New York City to join our team as a Key Account Manager. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in national and chain account management, along with a deep understanding of the craft beer market. Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Key Account Manager will focus on growing Mighty Squirrel’s sales at key high-volume accounts across all current and future territories where Mighty Squirrel is sold, while also consistently pursuing new and creative business opportunities.
In addition to managing Mighty Squirrel’s national and chain account business, this individual will be responsible for weekly sales calls across multiple markets. They will also play a key role in increasing consumer awareness of our brand and taprooms/breweries by organizing and executing events such as in-store samplings, brew fests, beer gardens, and more.
The right candidate will have a proven track record of working with both senior and corporate-level management in the beverage industry. They should also have a deep passion for craft beer and the motivation to share that passion while building lasting and valuable relationships with our distribution partners, retailers, restaurants, bars, and end customers.

About Mighty Squirrel Brewing Co.
Mighty Squirrel was founded by friends and home-brewers Naveen Pawar and Henry Manice in 2015 and has since expanded distribution across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, and most recently, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
In December 2018, we launched our first brick and mortar taproom and brewery in Waltham, MA and have served hundreds of thousands of customers since then. Our unique space provides an immersive experience for our guests with our entire brewing process open to viewing from the taproom. In March of 2024, Mighty Squirrel opened its second taproom and brewery in the Fenway neighborhood of Boston, just a stone’s throw from Fenway Park. This Spring, we are thrilled to open our third taproom and brewery in Arsenal Yards in Watertown, MA.

Job Responsibilities
- Understand and embrace Mighty Squirrel’s purpose, vision, and strategy.
- Manage key on- and off-premise account groups across multiple territories, driving year-over-year sales growth.
- Conduct weekly visits to accounts, creating detailed visit plans and logging insights utilizing our CRM system.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities to expand Mighty Squirrel’s market reach.
- Collaborate with the VP of Sales, wholesale partners, and marketing team to develop impactful, data-driven sales strategies and execution plans.
- Meet both team and individual goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement profitable marketing & sales programs for top on- and off-prem accounts to maximize brand visibility and sales.
- Work closely with upper management at wholesale partners to identify and capitalize on key account growth opportunities.
- Work with the VP of Sales and the marketing team to plan yearly and quarterly objectives utilizing market analysis and detailed sales data.
- Organize, schedule, and attend meetings with corporate and key account management, including national and regional travel as needed.
- Collaborate with VP of Sales and the marketing department to plan, design, and deploy unique point-of-sale (POS) materials that enhance brand presence in a competitive craft beer market.
- Organize and lead engaging promotional events including, but not limited to, brew fests, samplings, beer dinners, tap takeovers, and more.
- Must be available for evening and weekend events as required.
- Conduct distributor work-withs to build strong relationships with our distribution partners.
- Maintain a strong daily communication channel with our distributor partners, including presenting portfolio strategies, sales & execution plans, and important company updates at distributor sales meetings.
- Continuously monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.
Qualifications
· A minimum of 5 years of prior beer sales experience
· At least 2 years of chain business management experience at either the regional or national level
· Out of this world communication skills
· Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
· Excellent time management and prioritization skills
· Thorough knowledge of both the local, regional, and national craft beer industry and emerging trends
· Tech-savvy with proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
· Detail oriented
· Must have ability to safely lift 55 lbs and move 165 lbs using traditional methods
· Must have full-time access to an automobile
