STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Our Staff Accountant works closely with the finance manager and our regional team to support the smooth operations across our organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The job responsibilities of our Staff Accountant include, but are not limited to:
- Provide assistance with journal entries, general ledger, bank and credit card reconciliations, and GAAP accounting.
- Process weekend, period-end, quarter-end, and year-end financials start to finish.
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Inventory management via Restaurant 365 weekly
- Download sales reports daily and monthly
- Collaboration with HR on payroll entries and workers comp payments
- Maintain vendor W-9 files and prepare 1099s annually.
- Collaboration with Finance Manager on weekly cash flow.
- Prepare sales and other local taxes including sales tax filings.
- Vendor relations include set-up, credit applications and communications.
- Record daily sales and resolve out-of-balance issues.
- Embrace team environment and adapt processes to company standards.
*This position based out of Wooster, OH. We are open to filling the position with a qualified full-time or part-time candidate.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting or a finance-related field
- Understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Preferred
- Restaurant 365 experience
- Restaurant industry experience
- Associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System)
