JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Project Manager/Estimator we are looking for is detailed-oriented and familiar with the construction process as it relates to public works construction in Washington State. The ideal candidate should be familiar with how to read specs, interpret plans, organize information, perform quantity takeoffs, estimate projects and then assist with project kickoff by creating budgets and developing an execution plan. However, the primary function of this role is to be an estimator and prepare takeoffs and estimates for review by the Sr. Estimator/PM/VP.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend pre-bid meetings.
- Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Identify scope and obtain quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Perform quantity takeoffs. Experience with Bluebeam or AutoCAD preferred.
- Build estimates using InEight Estimate.
- Fill out proposal pages and turn in bids if needed.
- Export estimate to Primavera P6.
- Assist with Project Manager duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in the construction industry.
- 3 years' experience as an estimator, project manager, or other role performing similar duties.
- Strong understanding of construction sequence and methods.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with modern computer software and ability to learn fast and retain information.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction while communicating efficiently in a team environment.
Salary : $120,000 - $195,000
