Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Body Shop Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing repair estimates, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for automotive repair, ensuring that our clients receive accurate and timely estimates for their vehicle repairs.
Duties
- Evaluate damaged vehicles to determine the extent of repairs needed.
- Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates using industry-standard software.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair options, costs, and timelines.
- Collaborate with technicians to ensure a thorough understanding of the required repairs.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of payments.
- Upsell additional services or products that may benefit the customer’s vehicle maintenance.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in auto body repair.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive repair, including knowledge of body shop operations.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with skills in areas such as oil changes, diesel engine repair, and vehicle maintenance.
- Familiarity with auto body repair techniques and materials.
- Excellent sales skills with the ability to upsell services effectively.
- Experience in cash handling and financial transactions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred.
