We are looking for a results driven greenhouse retail store assistant manager to help with the overall store management. The successful candidate will be able to enhance customer satisfaction, meet sales and profitability goals and manage staff effectively. Candidates will have the most success if they have a background in retail management, horticulture, and realize that real world experience can be more valuable than classic training. Store assistant manager responsibilities may include supervising the sales staff and:
Responsibilities
- Making customers your main focus while at the same time keeping plant maintenance at the fore front (you can’t sell dead plants)
- Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service ‘Never Let Anyone Struggle’ is my motto. If someone needs help, then you help, no questions asked.
- Ordering plants weekly, from several sources. Also, helping unloading the trucks when plants arrive and setting them out on display.
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
- Make a list of plants that are running low to buy in
- Make sure inventory is refreshed throughout the day.
- Help Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances etc)
- Be a shining example of well behavior and high performance.
