Junior Accounting Assistant:

We have an immediate opening for a Junior Accounts Payable Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role will work closely with our Accounting Team Coordinator on a variety of functions, including but not limited to what is listed below:
- Accounts payable processing; receive bills; filter, and classify, validate billing against PO, interact with purchasing and construction dept for approvals and investigate variances, (enter bills to Buildertrend and QuickBooks).
- Printing checks weekly and track payments of all payments and expenditures, including PO, invoices, statements, etc.
- Filing documents.
- Maintaining historical records and statements.
- Maintaining historical records for Notice to Owner and lien releases from vendors and subcontractors.
- Updating Vendors COI and Workers Insurance.
- COI – WC – W9 Audit.
- Responsible for all utilities payments for all job locations.
- Creating lien waives for invoices higher than $2,500.00.
- HOA and utilities payments for all job locations.
- Credit Card posting and reconciliation.
Basic Qualifications
- Previous experience working with vendors or some customer service experience.
- Basic QuickBooks knowledge.
- Bi-lingual-Spanish and English is a plus.
- MS Office skills including Excel and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills.
- Highly organized and able to meet deadlines.
- Ability to pass background and drug screening requirements.
Additional Skills preferred:
- Construction Industry experience.
- Knowledge of Buildertrend application.
