Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain an organized and clean bar area, ensuring all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
- Engage with customers, providing friendly service while taking drink and food orders and answering questions about the menu.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Monitor inventory levels of beverages and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items when applicable.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service practices.
- Assist in training new staff members on bartending techniques and customer service standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in bartending or food service is preferred, particularly in a nightclub or high-volume setting.
- Strong knowledge of brewing techniques, cocktail recipes, and beverage pairings.
- Proficient in retail math to manage cash handling effectively and accurately process transactions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers positively.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required by business needs.
- Familiarity with POS systems for efficient order processing is highly desirable.
- A passion for sales and providing outstanding customer service in the food industry.
