Position Summary:

The Aftermarket Sales Representative plays a key role in driving sales for aftermarket products and services, such as spare parts, system upgrades, maintenance plans, and other value-added offerings. This role focuses on fostering strong customer relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and delivering tailored technical and commercial solutions to meet customer requirements. Travel requirements are 80%

Essential/Key Functions:

  • Exceed annual aftermarket parts & service revenue growth objectives, while maintaining gross margin, through aggressive business strategy combining in-person meetings, telemarketing strategies and e-commerce marketing initiatives

  • In coordination with the Aftermarket Sales Director implement annual aftermarkets parts & service pricing strategies focused on revenue growth and profitability with each of our customers within the Americas
  • Results driven with the ability to make analytical decisions with customer negotiations
  • Develop excellent product and application knowledge of Milacron and competitive equipment
  • Effectively communicates and works cross-functionally with Field Sales, Service and Product Support teams
  • Utilization of Salesforce (CRM) including weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecast projections, assuring we are completely prepared to effectively support customers demand and execute business growth objectives
  • Responsibly maintain company owned assets which include vehicles, equipment and computers
  • Provides technical expertise where needed.
  • Attends required/approved sales meetings, business meetings, and industry conventions.
  • Actively participates in offered sales training and development programs to help them progress in their overall success and capabilities
  • Other ad-hoc analysis and special assignments as required.
  • Gets to know competitors and their practices within the assigned region.
  • Mechanical, electrical, machining, hydraulic aptitude with the ability to read mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Ability to interface professionally and cordially with customers.

Minimum (Required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; or four to five years of experience in Business Administration or Marketing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years in an outside B2B field sales role, preferably within a technical or capital equipment sales industry. Experience in the plastic extrusion and/or injection-molding industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Database software; spreadsheet software such as Excel; Word, and PowerPoint. Sales Force or other CRM Platform experience a plus
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry including ability to read, measure, understand and use calipers, micrometer and/or other measurement tools with respect to physical attributes of components
  • Willingness to travel - this role requires frequent travel
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record.
