Description
To provide quality customer service by keeping dairy or frozen products stocked throughout the Dairy or Frozen Food Department. Proper performance of duties and responsibilities of this position is necessary to satisfy customer’s needs and expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs duties in a safe and efficient manner.
- Follows proper procedures and stocks dairy or frozen food items on shelves or appropriate refrigerated storage areas.
- Opens cartons, pricing items accurately and legibly (if required). Keeps management informed of pricing problems or discrepancies.
- Keeps perishable merchandise rotated in accordance with product code dates. Pulls out-of-code merchandise.
- Presents (faces) all products in assigned sections in accordance with department procedures.
- Assists in receiving and unloading of merchandise. Check Dairy or frozen food deliveries, counts, quality, and conditions.
- Assists in building department displays for maximum sales and turnover.
- Handles damaged and spoiled products according to department procedures and assists in controlling the level of these goods.
- Performs price checks as requested.
- Retrieves items that customers are unable to reach, lift, or find.
- Assists with cleanup of spills and breakages and other maintenance duties as assigned.
- Participates in training activities to increase personal skill levels, and to improve overall department processes and customer service.
- Assists in maintaining general housekeeping and sanitation standards in compliance with the store’s policies and all applicable health regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the department head or other management personnel.
- Meets the physical requirements to perform the job functions listed above.
- Provides light supervision and training of other associates when assigned.
