Overview
We are a global premium wig company, and are looking for a socially savvy Community Engagement Assistant who recognizes the power of social media in fostering community connections. As our Brand continues to rapidly grow, we need a proactive individual to enhance our Social Media team, focusing primarily on community engagement. You will play a vital role in interacting with both existing and potential audiences - we currently have over 400K active and engaged followers across multiple platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and Pinterest.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Engage with our community through social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube to foster meaningful interactions and relationships.
- Monitor and respond to audience inquiries and comments in a timely manner, showcasing kindness, compassion, and excellent customer service skills.
- Responding appropriately, efficiently, and effectively to direct messages and comments on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook.
- Answer FAQ’s with accurate, useful information.
- Act as the liaison for our Customer Service Team and Sales Department - ensuring information is shared correctly and efficiently from social media inquiries to the corresponding team members.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Community Engagement, Social Media Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or similar role. (Internships count!)
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a customer service role.
- Proficient in navigating Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook with a strong understanding of their features and best practices.
- Previous experience using Instagram, Facebook and TikTok in a professional context.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-starter with a creative mindset and a knack for problem-solving.
- Strong customer service skills and a genuine compassion for helping others.
- A true team player who values collaboration and high-quality customer service.
- Able to work in-person at our Signal Hill office.
Additional "Pluses" - Preferred, but not Required:
- Previous professional experience in a social media focused role for a company or brand with an online audience of over 100K followers.
- Familiarity / previous work experience with YouTube, Pinterest and LinkedIn.
- Previous experience in an Administrative Assistant or Executive Assistant role.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 32 per week
