Job Summary:
As a bartender at MILANOS ITALIAN GRILL, you will be responsible for creating an enjoyable experience for guests by crafting drinks, serving beverages, and providing exceptional customer service. You will manage the bar area, ensure proper stock levels, and maintain a clean and inviting environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company recipes and customer requests.
- Take orders from guests at the bar and from servers for the dining area.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including equipment, utensils, and glassware.
- Handle payments, operate the POS system, and manage cash transactions accurately.
- Ensure all guests are of legal drinking age and follow all alcohol-related safety regulations.
- Keep the bar stocked with all necessary supplies, including beverages, garnishes, and ice.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, offering drink recommendations when appropriate.
- Assist in monitoring and managing the inventory of bar supplies and ordering as needed.
- Uphold all health and safety standards in food and beverage handling.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a bartender is preferred.
- Knowledge of drink recipes, preparation, and serving techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and occasionally lift heavy items (up to 25 lbs).
- Must be of legal drinking age and possess the required alcohol service certifications, if applicable.
- Flexible schedule, including availability on nights, weekends, and holidays.
