Job Summary:
As a Host/Hostess at MILANOS ITALIAN GRILL, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm and welcoming experience. Your responsibilities include greeting guests, managing reservations, seating guests, and ensuring that the dining room operates smoothly. You’ll play a vital role in creating a positive first impression for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant and guide them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and ensure accurate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess stand and the dining room.
- Keep an accurate waitlist during busy periods and communicate wait times to guests.
- Assist servers and bussers with resetting tables and ensuring guests are seated promptly.
- Answer the phone and assist with takeout orders, reservations, and guest inquiries.
- Ensure guests have a positive experience by addressing any special requests or needs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, outgoing demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and manage a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
