Clinical Instructor - Practical Nursing

Mildred Elley, a private multi campus institution, is seeking Part time Clinical Instructors for the Practical Nursing program at its Albany, NY campus. Job Description:

The Practical Nursing (PN) Department at Mildred Elley is currently seeking highly motivated clinical faculty who are interested in teaching PN students at various clinical sites. In this role, instructors will provide supervision and hands-on training to Practical Nursing students at several clinical sites throughout the region. We have multiple openings available at various sites. Our program operates in an 8-week module, and we are looking for candidates to commit to an 8-week period at a time. We have day, evening, and weekend shifts available, which may vary for each module based on program needs.

Rotations that are available include:

• Monday -Thursday 7 am to 3 pm & 3 pm to 11 pm
• Weekend hours: Saturday and Sunday 7 am to 3 pm

Job Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in nursing from a program with institutional accreditation
• Active, unencumbered NY RN license
• Minimum of 5 years of RN experience in varied clinical areas, caring for patients across the lifespan
• Current clinical experience within an acute care, peds, OB, and long-term care setting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly, concisely, and accurately; friendly, persuasive speaking and writing style.
• Experience with various modes of educational technology, including video conferencing software
• Current CPR certification
• Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
• Able to travel to sites within the Capital Region and surrounding areas.
• Flexibility a must
• Motor Vehicle Operator's License and ability to provide own transportation.

Compensation:

$55 per hour.
