Position Summary:
The Clinic LPN - UW Specialty Clinic position assists in rooming patients, verifying medications and allergies, traveling to surrounding UW clinics to assist, calling patients, placing orders, taking vitals, answering phones, scheduling patients for appointments, filling medication refills, and assisting with various procedures to help provide the best patient care.
Position Responsibilities:
- Room patients (taking vitals, verifying medications and allergies, etc.).
- Travel to surrounding UW Clinics (Sauk, Portage, Beaver Dam, Richland Center, etc.) to assist when short staffed.
- Abstract patient charts, pulling information from Mile Bluff's system or requesting records from other facilities.
- Place orders, call patients to schedule labs/procedures, and communicate with providers to coordinate patient care.
- Address patient calls, provide patient results, refill medications, coordinate care with Pharmacy.
- Assist with in-clinic procedures, including but not limited to bone marrow biopsies, ENT procedures, Lupron injections, and ECGs.
- Perform reception duties, including answering patient calls and scheduling appointments.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Position Requirements:
- Licensed Practical Nurse degree required.
- Must maintain nursing license.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
- Must maintain a valid, current driver's license.
- 3 years of related work experience required.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.

- Comprehensive practical nursing skills.
- Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem
