General Information:
Job title: Retail Pharmacist
Location: Phillip's Pharmacy - Mauston, WI
Schedules Available:
- Full-time, 80 hours per pay period; Monday - Friday, Alternating 10-hour shifts
Weekend rotation: Every 4th Saturday - 5-hour shift, Closed Sundays
Holiday rotation: Closed on Holidays
Position Summary:
The Pharmacist Staff - Retail Pharmacy ensures medications are procured, prepared, dispensed, and administered safely and legally.
Position Responsibilities:
- Proficient in pharmacy practice including but not limited to the following areas:
- Retail dispensing
- Home health aids
- Performs other related prescription activities such as taking verbal prescriptions, filling of prescriptions, dispensing and verbal consultation.
- Performs and/or supervises pharmaceutical compounding activities.
- Provides clinical pharmacy services, including medical history collection, therapeutic drug monitoring, pharmacokinetic dosing consultations, drug information and education.
- Participates in and follows standards of departmental quality control and quality assurance programs.
- Oversees inventory control activities such as monitoring inventory levels, ordering, receiving, stocking and shipping.
- Supervises pharmacy interns and technicians.
- Willingly follows and supports all policies and procedures required under Medicare Accreditation.
- Input and process prescriptions
- Correct prescriptions
- Counsel patients
- Administer vaccines.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
Position Requirements:
- Professional Pharmacy degree required. Doctorate preferred.
- Must hold and maintain current Wisconsin Pharmacist license.
- BLS certification required.
- 1 years related work experience required.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Intermediate to expert proficiency with computers is required.
- Requires assessment, evaluation, and decision-making skills.
- Must possess exceptional clinical skills.
- Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
- Familiarity with pharmacy law.
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication, oral and written communication, and problem-solving skills.
