The primary goal of the Babies Ready for College (BRFC) Facilitator is to prepare children for school success and long-term student achievement through working with Family, Friend, and Neighbor providers and parents. It is the responsibility of the Facilitator to model, coach, and provide information to parents/caregivers on how to support children’s development.
The Facilitator is responsible for implementation of the Babies Ready for College (BRFC) suite of programs at Mile High Early Learning (MHEL) that include BRFC, BRFC: Next Steps, Play & Learn Groups, and Short & Sweet Book Clubs.
Essential Job Functions: Instructional Leadership and Practice
· Implement Babies Ready for College (BRFC), BRFC: Next Steps, and Short & Sweet Book Clubs with fidelity to curricula and program model for Play & Learn Groups
· Incorporate research-based, best practices for child development and adult learning
· Provide training for BRFC facilitators as needed
· Work with BRFC sessions by modeling appropriate developmental practices and activities
· Ensure that the space used for the groups supports developmentally appropriate activities
· Provide information to parents/caregivers on how to support children’s development with the goal of having parents/caregivers understand their role in preparing children for school success
· Facilitate adult-child sessions as assigned by the Community Partnerships Director
Essential Job Functions: Community Implementation
· Work with Community Partnerships Director to create and implement schedule for the BRFC suite of programs annually.
· Recruit Family, Friend, and Neighbor (FFN) caregivers and parents from community to participate in the BRFC suite of programs, enrolling a minimum of 15 participants for each cohort; provide monthly recruitment and enrollment updates.
· Recruit families currently enrolled in MHEL to participate.
· Collect participant questionnaires including pre/post parent/caregiver knowledge surveys and Parenting Stress Index.
· Assess children with research-based tools for each cohort that may include ESI-R, ASQ, or DECA to track their developmental progress.
· Contact participants for each cohort at least once via home visits and/or phone visits.
· Track and record adult and child enrollment, attendance, participation, completion, and contact notes in MHEL child and family database weekly and coordinate usage of literacy sheets as appropriate. Submit documentation to Community Partnerships Director monthly.
· Submit all BRFC documentation to Community Partnerships Director within two weeks of cohort ending.

Requirements
Required Position Qualifications / Certifications / Licenses:
Minimum Child Development Associate (may be enrolled in MHEL CDA program)
Knowledge of early childhood education
Experience in working in underserved communities
Ability to work with multi-cultural parents, children, and community members in underserved communities
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Strong communication, written, and organizational skills
Compliance with other regulatory requirements as applicable
Pass CBI and FBI background check, and post-employment medical examination, drug screen/TB test
Preferred Position Qualifications / Certifications / Licenses:
Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, or related field
Meet Head Start Program Performance Standards for preschool teacher qualifications
Essential Physical Requirements:
· Safely lift a child or children with total weight of 50 pounds
· Conduct activities involving substantial standing, walking and moderate sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, twisting, and reaching on a frequent basis
· Work with hands above shoulder height with a weight up to 20 pounds
· Work with arms extended at shoulder height with a weight up to 20 pounds
· Must be able to stoop, bend, and kneel on the floor without assistance
· Must be able to walk within a four-square block of the center and lead / attend field trips within the community riding on public transportation or rental vehicle
· Participate in routine conversation in person or via telephone and distinguish telephone, radio/pager signals, alarms, and other auditory tones
