Master Maintenance Equipment Service Tech

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)
·Maintain all equipment and physical structures of Manufacturing facility, ensuring they are in good working condition and meet safety standards.
·Perform electrical and mechanical repairs on equipment such as conveyors, ovens, packaging machines, labeling machines, mixers, automated machinery, breaker panels, lighting. A big plus for Industrial Food MFG Equipment.
·Avoid altering circuits, taking shortcuts, or rigging components.
·Execute preventive maintenance tasks as required on machinery operating from 120 to 480 volts, single and 3-phase power.
·Handle mechanical troubleshooting, with an emphasis on electrical and electronic repairs.
·Identify faulty parts, source their specifications, and replace them accurately.
·Replace faulty electrical components of machines, including relays, switches, motors, bearings, and sensing devices; rewire motors as needed.
·Replace worn or damaged parts such as hoses, wiring, belts, and bearings in machines and equipment, including trucks, street sweepers, and riding mowers.
·Clean, lubricate, and maintain shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life.
·Communicate progress on maintenance tasks and coordinate projects effectively with other team members and departments.
·Read and interpret electrical & mechanical diagrams accurately.
·Use multi-testers and amp meters to trace and diagnose issues in industrial machinery efficiently.
·Conduct timely repairs by following electrical diagrams.
·Identify and test basic electrical components such as contactors, circuit breakers, overloads, motor controls, power supplies (DC and AC), transformers, VFDs, PLCs, AC and DC motors, amplifiers, temperature controllers, proximity detectors, and electric eyes.
·Differentiate between NPN and PNP components and inductive or capacitive sensors.
·Recognize and troubleshoot panel switches, limit switches, and distinguish between 4-20mA and 0 to 10Vdc input signals.
·Search and download specification sheets or manuals online for unfamiliar components to facilitate repairs.
·Trace wiring, deduce functions, and test/repair without diagrams or manuals when necessary.
·Source components efficiently and ensure cost-effectiveness when purchasing parts.
·Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment, managing inventory to ensure tools, parts, and supplies are readily available.
·Support preventative maintenance programs.
·Stay current with new technologies and show a willingness to learn as advancements are made
Supervisory Responsibilities: If identify but not required
Qualifications:
·Must demonstrate a solid track record as a well-qualified Multi-Craft Service Technician with strong machine repair experience.
·Proven experience as a Service Technician/Maintenance Technician or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
·Strong organizational skills and experience in managing inventory and shop organization.
·Proficient in using hand and power tools, as well as maintenance and repair equipment.
·Knowledge of electrical, mechanical systems.
·Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
·Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
·Good communication and interpersonal skills.
·Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
·Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
. Good Driving Record
·Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not require Proficient with basic computer usage.
Ability to work with or around food allergens of all types.
Mechanical drive experience.
Mechanical installation and alignment techniques (motor/gearbox, pumps, sprockets, sheaves).
Use of precision measurement tools.
Proficient in the use and understanding of mills, lathes and dill presses
Ability to read and interpret machine manuals/schematics, electrical blueprints/schematics and process control diagrams.
Experience with AC/DC, servo motors, limit and proximity switches, photo-electric sensors, and solenoid valves.
Knowledge and experience around Allen Bradley Variable Frequency Drives, Allen Bradley PLC’s, Siemens.
Knowledge and experience with the installation, calibration and maintenance of processes and analytical
instrumentation.
Physical Requirements:
·Ability to work in a manufacturing plant environment
·Ability to Walk, lift, sit, stand, bend, kneel, and work in cramped or confined spaces as needed.

Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
