Job description
We’re looking for an A-Level Powersports / Marine Technician / Mechanic. While powersports and or marine expertise is a plus, we value the mechanical know-how and problem-solving skills that technicians from other fields can bring to our service department.
Applicants will be primarily working on the following brands :
Mercury / Mercrusier
Yamaha
Evinrude
Polaris
Ski doo / Sea doo
Yamaha
Can Am
Responsibilities include :
Performing diagnostics and repairs of all types of power sport and marine engines and drives
Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Repairing and troubleshooting power sport and marine electrical systems
De-winterize and winterize boats and personal water craft
Ability to tow trailers, launch and load boats
Maintain a clean working environment and keep customer units clean after work
Safely operate company and customer units during diagnostic testing operations
The right candidate :
High school diploma or equivalent
Must have automotive and / or marine engine repair experience
Formal marine mechanic training is preferred
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
Will have certifications, preferred but not required.
Will have the ability to meet deadlines and have good time management skills
Mechanical skills and the ability to use a wide variety of tools and techniques
Personal tools are required, company has specialty tools and manufacturer specific tools
Must be high energy and take pride in quality workmanship
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
