Position Title: Business Coordinator, United for Business
Status: Non-Exempt, Full-Time
Salary: $25.30-25.00/hr ($48,880-$52,000)

Location: Primarily based out of our Denver office at 711 Park Ave W, Denver, CO 80205. 3 days/week in office, 2 days/week remote

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected hourly pay rate for this position is $23.50 - $25.0 ($48,880.00 - $52,000.00 annualized). In an effort to increase equity and to avoid unfair bias historically associated with salary negotiations, we do not participate in salary negotiations outside of this stated starting salary range.
How You'll Help
The Business Coordinator will support the mission, vision and work of Mile High United Way's United for Business (UFB) program through coordination, assistance, and support of UFB programs. This position will be responsible for supporting the team in providing business consulting services, building and sustaining partnerships with community and municipal partners, past and current business clients, volunteers, and resource providers in support of UFB.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide support and coordination as it relates to the UFB programs.
- Support the UFB team in matching business clients with the organization's pool of skill-based volunteers.
- Provide support and coordination to the UFB team to engage and serve a targeted volume of small businesses in under-resourced communities, with a focus on minority and women-owned businesses.
- Deeply understand the target neighborhood and potential client base, developing and growing partnerships with other nonprofit organizations providing complimentary services to UFB clients.
- Partner with Mile High United Way's Evaluations and Learning team to understand
- In conjunction with Mile High United Way's Marketing and Communications team, develop UFB collateral, reporting, impact stories, and other related materials to be distributed in the community.
- Support Salesforce tracking, reporting, and data entry.
Additional Responsibilities
- Research local and national best practices to stabilize and grow small businesses. Integrate and disseminate researched information as needed into services.
- Represent Mile High United Way on relevant and targeted committees and task forces, as well as at speaking engagements, conference panels and trainings.
- Provide assistance to the fundraising and development team as needed.
- Maintain relationships with the different departments internally to ensure UFB is aligned with the overall strategic plan.
What You'll Need: Education, Experience, and Skills
- Preferred Degree in Business, Business Management, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- 1 year of work experience as a program coordinator or related field.
Specials Skills/Knowledge:
- Bilingual Preferred: English required with preferred secondary language of Spanish, Korean, Vietnamese, or Amharic
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to operate under pressure and to manage multiple high-priority projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a structured organization.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member, flexible and change oriented.
- Knowledge and understanding of small/micro businesses and economic development.
- Excellent oral communication and writing skills, including presentations, written reports, and other documents.
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Salesforce experience preferred
Working Environment: 40% of time in typical office environment, 20% in client settings or in targeted markets and 40% working from home.
Physical Activities: Ability to provide personal transportation.
