Position Title: Resource Specialist, 2-1-1
Status: Non-Exempt, Full-Time
Salary: $22.25 - $23.25 per hour

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected hourly pay rate for this position is $22.25 - $23.25 ($46,280.00 - $48,360.00 annualized). In an effort to increase equity and to avoid unfair bias historically associated with salary negotiations, we do not participate in salary negotiations outside of this stated starting salary range.

How You'll Help

The primary functions of a 211 Resource Specialist are to influence and administer the processes for strengthening and maintaining data integrity across Mile High United Way, by working closely with other departments to enter data and support strong data practices. 211 Resource Specialists will also work to maintain the quality and accuracy of the 2-1-1 Database by working with agency partners to add and maintain programs via targeted outreach and vetting of existing records. These efforts ensure Mile High United Way maintains a consistently high level of data integrity across the organization.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develops knowledge of data use and needs across the organization to support overall data quality and integrity.
  • Serves as a liaison or back up liaison to departments across the organization to support day to day data needs, including account creation.
  • Supports the onboarding and training of new hires in best data practices.
  • Recommends data projects for department data to promote accuracy and efficiency in data entry.
  • Participates in data projects to ensure accuracy and maintenance of departmental data.
  • Supports the development and documentation of best practices of data entry.
  • Updates and maintains the quality and accuracy of the 2-1-1 database as defined by department standards by initiating high-volume outbound communication with agencies through calls, email inquiries, agency visits, etc.
  • Provides customer support to both internal departments and external organizations that may include adding Salesforce accounts, identifying missing data from records, supporting use of the 2-1-1 Agency Update Portal, etc.
  • Attends internal and external meetings regularly, as assigned, to support updated and accurate data across all program

Additional Responsibilities

  • Work within deadlines to complete assigned projects and new initiatives in a quality and timely manner.
  • Required to assist in disaster/crisis response activities within and outside of normal business hours.
  • Must be able to telecommute as assigned.

What You'll Need: Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2 years of relevant experience preferred working in Data Entry or Human Services related field providing Customer Service

Specials Skills/Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with clients, staff and community leaders
  • Ability to read, interpret, and verify data from multiple formats
  • Demonstrated experience completing assignments and projects on time
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and shift gears quickly to accommodate change
  • Exceptional written communication skills; ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive pieces in a variety of lengths and formats
  • Strong editing skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to spot errors with accuracy and efficiency
  • Solid time management skills and ability to work independently with little supervision while effectively using resources
  • Demonstrated experience writing concise, logical, grammatically correct descriptions suitable for publication
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing a data management system
  • Ability to sit and operate a computer for long periods of time

Computer Skills: Demonstrated Experience working with Microsoft Office including Excel.

Working Environment: Office hours are 8 to 5, Monday through Friday. Must be willing and able to work remotely when needed (i.e. times of building closure and/or disaster response).

Physical Activities: Ability to operate a computer for extended periods. Ability to provide personal transportation.
