Position Title: Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives
Status: Exempt, Full-Time
Salary: $68,000.14-$71,000.02

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this position is $68,000.14-$71,000.02 annually. In an effort to increase equity and to avoid unfair bias historically associated with salary negotiations, we do not participate in salary negotiations outside of this stated starting salary range.
How You'll Help
The Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives is responsible for developing, in partnership with the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, the strategic oversight and implementation of Mile High United Way's new corporate partnership acquisition strategy and implementing new ideas to increase funding and engagement for existing corporate partners. This role will also be responsible for the identification and pursuit of new corporate funders and foundations, workplace giving campaigns, and sponsorships.
The Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives will also work with volunteers in the utilization of a consultative, in-person/virtual approach to create an effective team in building donor relationships and meeting funding goals. This role will also establish and manage fundraising targets, develop strong engagement tools and work with development operations to track metrics to ensure targets are being met across the department.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and implement annual and long-range plans for a portfolio to include increase giving and levels of participation for corporate partnerships and individual engagement.
- Maintains a portfolio of corporations who have growth potential in one or more functional areas within resource development.
- Work with volunteer leadership and executive staff to establish and execute customized corporate and employee engagement strategies for portfolio of companies.
- Prioritize and balance annual funding needs with emerging priorities, including special campaigns and initiatives.
- Develop prospective and maintain current leadership and corporate partners.
- Work with cross-functional team to develop proposals that create a compelling case for support to potential investors in Mile High United Way.
- Partner with leadership within the organization to manage customer (donor) relationships, including incorporating engagement in affinity groups and volunteer opportunities.
- Attend industry functions and provide feedback and information on market trends as well as strategies for Mile High United Way to engage with new or growing industries.
- Support planning efforts for consultative products, including Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) business functions.
- Champion Relationship Management approach through personal actions and use of Salesforce, Mile High United Way's CRM system.
Additional Responsibilities

- Is professionally supportive of all Mile High United Way policies, procedures, functions, departments, divisions, managers and employees.
- Provides leadership and collaboration with other department and corporate priorities, as needed, e.g. strategic plan, annual budget, special initiatives, etc.
- Develops and maintains strong working relationships with other Departments.
What You'll Need: Education, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in humanities, business, finance, or equivalent experience
- Certificate in CSR or ESG preferred
- 5-7 years professional experience in managing new and existing corporate partnerships, volunteer engagement and one-on-one solicitations.
- Additional successful experience in fund development including proposal writing, prospect research, volunteer management, annual individual giving campaigns, capital campaigns, and donor cultivation and recognition.
- Experience within a nonprofit or impact organization is preferred.

Computer Skills:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Salesforce database experience a plus.
Working Environment: Typical office environment. Regularly attends out-of-meetings and events.
