Summary
Inspect electronic PCB assemblies & box build electronic / electrical assemblies. Train others to do similar work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Read and understand drawings and specifications.
- Inspect assemblies based on customer requirements job book / traveler, as directed by Team Leader / Supervisor.
- Capable of inspecting IPC Workmanship Standard Solder Class II and Class III and rework assemblies.
- Capable of discussing inspection results in details with Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers and Management personnel.
- Produce detailed defect report out & metrics.
- Perform quality (internal / process) audits.
- Record Pass / Fail / Reject parts into a Daily Inspection Sheet / Tablet / MES (Mfg. Enterprise Software).
- Follows appropriate quality policies and procedures.
- Performs work to appropriate efficiency and utilization standards.
- Builds product as directed by Team Leaders or Supervisor.
- Practice and participate in Continuous Improvement and Lean activities, supporting change and identifying ways to improve processes and efficiency.
- Able to perform some duties of a Team Leader, and / or act as backup Team Leader when needed.
- Actively participate in work group / team activities, as an enthusiastic, positive and dependable team member.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and environment.
- Work performed in this job can only be done on site, and therefore attendance is an essential function of this job.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED required. A.A. degree and / or a minimum of five years of experience in the electronics industry required. Quality control experience is also required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, speak, and understand English to enable clear communication and comprehension of internal company documentation.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic math skills required to add, subtract, multiply, & divide. Basic understanding of & ability to read performance graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Able to understand and determine product quality to written documentation.
