Miles Community College is currently accepting applications for two Student Event
Staff/Custodian positions at the Ag Advancement Center (AAC). Reporting to the
Facilities Manager, this position performs a variety of support for the Ag Advancement
Center. Responsibilities include monitoring the event calendar and executing the
Facilities Use Agreement with renters for the AAC. This position will also be responsible
for providing custodial support before and after events including wiping down
bathrooms, sweeping/mopping foyer area, cleaning trash from the bleacher area and
general pickup/removal of garbage and manure, including parking areas.
Responsibilities also include ensuring the building is open to groups or individuals
renting the space as well as ensuring the building is secured and locked after events.
This position is responsible for routine and preventative maintenance and repair on all
arenas, grounds and some buildings.
Qualifications: Currently enrolled in MCC for Fall 2025. Excellent communication
skills are required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, bend, stretch, stand for extended
period of time, climb stairs/ladders, reach, twist, sit, walk and/or run. Must maintain
residence in the Ag Advancement Center apartment.
