Salary Range: $23.00 Hourly
Some responsibilities include:
- Understand the project plans and specifications.
- Determine materials, equipment and, procedures required to achieve desired results
- Determine and abide by safety procedures based on job site conditions
- Communicate equipment and manpower needs to meet schedules and deadlines.
- Assist with the placement of concrete for projects
- Placing concrete from a truck, crane, bucket or pump
- Structural Concrete experience (footings and walls)
- Cement finishing experience
- Finishing concrete
- Coordinate with Superintendent onsite for direction and schedule
- Operating all necessary tools associated with the job.
- Successfully communicating and understanding both verbal and written directions
- Organize, structure and perform tasks within a set schedule
- Experience/knowledge of construction
- Self-starter with ability to work in a team environment
Applicant Requirements:
- Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds of material and up to 90 pounds of material with assistance, if requested.
- Frequently walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching and climbing.
- Frequent use of hand tools such as power tools, circular saws, hammers, nails, and bolts
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years experience in concrete preferred
- Previous experience in the commercial construction industry preferred.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
- Reliable and punctual
