Business Development Coordinator - Hybrid

Job Description

SUMMARY:

Miles Mediation & Arbitration is an Alternative Dispute Resolution firm with over 150 mediators and arbitrators across 12 locations throughout the United States. We are seeking a Business Development Coordinator, who will support our business development efforts in alignment with strategic local, regional, and national business development plans.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Acts as a primary point of contact for local, regional, and national sponsorships, conferences, and events. Coordinates logistics, interfaces with accounting/finance to process invoices, and works with marketing to execute sponsorship and conference needs and deliverables. Occasional travel is required to provide coverage at conferences or assist with hosting in-house events.
• Manages internal event calendars.
• Assists with managing the business development budget.
• Supports data entry projects relevant to business development efforts.
• Provides support for arbitrator/mediator presentations and events in both virtual and live environments.
• Liaises with legal organizations to arrange Miles' exposure through event attendance, programs, and leadership opportunities.
• Partners with appropriate managers to develop and execute business development strategies in Miles markets, conducts competitive intelligence research, and monitors results.
• Assists the marketing department, as needed, in implementing marketing initiatives, including email marketing, webinars, bio updates, and mediator/arbitrator social media profiles.
• Other duties as assigned within similar scope.
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline preferred.
• 1-3 years of working in marketing, practice/business development, and administrative support required.
• 1-3 years of working in legal and client service role preferred.
• Proficient in technology systems, with specific skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Slack, Zoom and Dropbox. NetSuite experience desirable.
• Excellent verbal and business writing communication skills.
