Legal Recruiting Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the recruiting and hiring of non-principal lateral attorneys, entry-level associates, and summer associates for all firm offices.
- Develop and manage the Summer Associate Program, including on-campus registration, interviews, follow-up with students, and other legal recruiting activities.
- Meet with and respond to requests from various attorneys (Office Managing Principals, Practice Group Leaders, etc.) and departments to assess department or office hiring needs.
- Manage the interviewand hiring process including drafting job ads, sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, drafting offers, and coordinating conflicts and background checks.
- Oversee the attorney onboarding process.
- Maintain relationships with various law school Career Development Centers.
- Guide associate integration by scheduling, participating, and tracking team meetings and following up with support, as suggested.
- Supervise the Legal Recruitment Coordinator to oversee the maintenance of department databases, integrating and adding content onto our various technology platforms and attorney files.
- Conduct market research on compensation, evaluation procedures, integration techniques, and mentoring, making recommendations where appropriate.
- Respond to and prepare NALP and other legal industry surveys.
- Provide support as needed to the Director of Legal Recruitment with Principal and other legal recruiting assignments.
Legal Recruiting Manager Qualifications & Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in legal recruiting.
- Ability to maintain high level confidential information.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely and effectively with all levels of firm employees.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to represent the firm with honesty, integrity, professionalism, and consistently act in an ethical manner.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to problem solve, use sound judgement and discretion.
- Strong client service orientation with a positive and professional demeanor.
- Work well under pressure and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

The pay range for this position is $110,500 - $134,000. The pay range provided is in compliance with state, city, or local employment laws and applies to this location only. Actual pay for this position will be determined based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, current market data, and business needs.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position or sit for prolonged periods and repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is frequently required to perform light work that includes lifting and moving objects up to 10 pounds.
