Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Heavy Duty Truck & Trailer Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing heavy duty trucks & trailers. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to operate various types of vehicles, including heavy equipment.
Duties
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and conducting minor repairs as needed.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for basic repairs and maintenance tasks on vehicles.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
- Read and interpret schematics related to vehicle systems for troubleshooting purposes.
- Operate diesel engines and perform necessary repairs on heavy equipment as required.
Skills
- Experience with diesel engine repair is highly desirable.
- Ability to weld and suspend components as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues using schematics.
- Excellent customer service skills, ensuring positive interactions with clients during.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools for vehicle maintenance tasks.
