Basic Function: As a Caregiver, you'll be at the forefront of providing exceptional care, treatment, and safety for the individuals we serve. From personal care to facilitating recreational activities, your role will be instrumental in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for our residents.

Description of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Show up with a smile and a can-do attitude, ready to provide reliable and compassionate care to our residents.
• Keep a watchful eye on the individuals you serve, maintaining communication and documentation to ensure their well-being.
• Complete daily assignments with enthusiasm and attention to detail, following guidelines and procedures set by our team leaders.
• Engage residents in recreational and social activities both in-house and in the community, fostering a sense of joy and belonging.
• Administer medication and provide ongoing interaction with residents, ensuring their health needs are met.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthful environment, from assisting with personal care to handling emergency situations with confidence.
• Provide safe transportation for residents, utilizing defensive driving skills and adhering to all policies and procedures.
• Foster positive relationships with residents, families, guardians, and fellow staff members, promoting teamwork and problem-solving.
• Demonstrate a commitment to Human Rights, intervening promptly on behalf of residents and reporting any concerns to the appropriate authorities.
• Embrace opportunities for growth and development, participating in training programs and staying up-to-date with best practices in caregiving.

Qualifications:

• Minimum age of 18, with completion of Habilitation Aide Training within the first 30 days of employment.
• High School diploma or GED, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Pass the TABE testing with flying colors, demonstrating your readiness for the role.
• Safe driving record and approved driver, ensuring the safety of our residents during transportation.
• Ability to intervene physically in behavioral or health-related crises, providing support and assistance when needed.

Pay Range: $19.25-$20.50 per hour.

Benefits:

Milestone offers all full-time employees medical, dental, life, 401k, and other voluntary insurance on the first of the month following sixty days of employment. Part-time employees are offered dental insurance on the first of the month following sixty days of employment. Personal days are accrued every quarter based on your seniority. Vacation time begins after six months of employment.
