What are the responsibilities and job description for the Photo Booth Attendant position at Milestone Photo Booth Rentals?
Photo Booth Attendant – Read This Before You Apply!
- Location: Travelling within NJ, NY, or PA
- Pay: $23-$35 per hour
- Job Type: Part-Time / Weekend Availability Required
Warning: This Job is NOT for Everyone. (EXTROVERTS ARE A MUST!)
You’ve probably seen job listings that make everything sound fun and easy. This is not one of them. Yes, you get paid to work events, but let’s be brutally honest:
- You’ll be hauling 80 lbs of equipment up stairs because the elevator is either broken, nonexistent, or “not for vendor use.”
- You’ll be told there’s plenty of parking—but you’ll end up in a dark lot three blocks away.
- People will lie to you. Repeatedly.
- You will be hungry. They’ll say “We have a meal for you”, but it will be sitting in some back hallway, cold and forgotten, while you run a non-stop booth line.
- Guests will spill drinks near thousands of dollars in equipment while insisting they’re “being careful.”
- You’ll be standing for hours while guests take 47 different photos, debating which one is their "good side."
Still here? Good. You might be tough enough.
The Work You'll Do:
- Transport, set up, and break down photo booth equipment (yes, it’s heavy).
- Run the booth, assist guests, and keep things moving smoothly.
- Troubleshoot inevitable technical issues on the fly.
- Handle entitled guests, drunk people, and clueless event planners with a smile.
- Stay until the bitter end, because packing-up feels like the longest part of the night. (It is actually the shortest if you are fast!)
What You Need to Survive This Job:
✅ Reliable Transportation: If you can’t fit the gear in your car, don’t apply.
✅ Regular Weekend Availability: Friday, Saturday, Sunday—non-negotiable.
✅ Ability to Lift 80 lbs: No complaining. Just lift it.
✅ A Thick Skin: Because people will ask dumb questions. A lot.
✅ Responsibility: Show up on time, stay off your phone, and do the job.
✅ Basic Tech Knowledge: You don’t need to be a genius, but you will be troubleshooting.
✅ Patience of a Saint: Guests will try to grab the props and break the equipment. You must stop them.
✅ Communication Skills: If we text you, we expect a response within 2 minutes.
Bonus Skills (Not Required, But Nice to Have):
- Photography/Videography Experience
- Sales or Promotion Skills
- Acting or Improv Skills
Why You’d Even Want This Job (Despite Everything Above):
- Decent Pay & Tips – Some events are easy money. Others… not so much.
- Cool Events – You’ll work at weddings, galas, and corporate parties. Sometimes you even leave with some cool expensive swag!
- Fun Moments – When the tech works, people love the experience.
- Laid-Back Management – Do your job well, and we won’t micromanage.
