Description:
Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with the organization’s mission and values.- Manage recruitment processes, including job postings, interviewing, and hiring for open positions.
- Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring new hires are smoothly integrated into the organization. Provide new employees with relevant training on organizational policies, culture, and compliance.
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance and support on HR policies, procedures, and conflict resolution. Address employee concerns, bringing issues to the attention of the Director of Finance and Administration as appropriate.
- Work with leadership to facilitate and implement employee training programs to build skills and enhance job performance.
- Monitor licensing and certification renewals and schedule training and certification activities.
- Support the development and implementation of performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and feedback.
- Oversee the administration of employee leave and benefits programs (e.g., health insurance, retirement plans) in collaboration with vendors.
- Assist with salary benchmarking and ensure compensation and reward packages align with budget constraints and market standards for non-profits.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Regularly review and update policies to maintain compliance with legal requirements and best practices.
- Maintain knowledge of human resources trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies, keeping leadership informed of changes and recommending best practices.
- Track key HR metrics such as employee turnover, hiring trends, and training effectiveness.
- Ensure a safe working environment by managing safety protocols and compliance with workplace safety laws and guidelines. Address any concerns related to workplace safety, including reporting incidents and implementing corrective actions.
- Provide regular reports to the Director of Finance and Administration and leadership on HR activities, issues, and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 years of experience in human resources, ideally in a non-profit and/or healthcare setting.
- Proficiency with MS Office and HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) required.
HR Certification (SHRM-CP or PHR) preferred.
