Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) – School Based

We are currently seeking Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) to work for us in the U.S. Virgin Islands. We have opportunities with the Department of Education in St. Thomas/St. John District or St. Croix District for the 2022-23 school year to provide related services to special education students ages 3 – 21.
Assignment Dates: August 2022 - May 2023 (possible summer extension - ESY).
Work Schedule: Eight (8) hour workdays – in schools from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM AST, in office 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM AST. Workweeks are based on the school calendar.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in the education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, with an endorsement in a content area, from an accredited university program.
- Possession of a professional Certificate - Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in any state, held in good standing
- Current CPR Certification - Minimum Adult/Child.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year school experience attending and participating in the development of IEP’s within the last 3 years.
- Working knowledge of the principals and practices of Special Education including IEP’s and 504 plans.
