Ambulatory Surgery Center in Parker, Colorado has a wonderful opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic hands-on RN Clinical Director.
This is a very small center just starting to gain traction with surgical cases. The RN Director plays an active role as a working nurse throughout the center, planning and executing on surgery productivity and clinical expectations for 2 ORs and 1 procedure room.
Because we are small, this position wears many hats and must be comfortable in a highly entrepreneurial, fun and exciting environment. You may be required to be the OR circulator, Pre-op/PACU nurse, SPD and committee officer(s).
Full-Time and position requires some flexibility with hours – must be able to work longer hours if necessary on scheduled surgery days (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee and drives forward the day-to-day clinical operations of the center, ensuring alignment on priorities and next steps
- Maintain CDPHE, AAAHC, and CMS readiness and regulatory compliance over site
- Implements standards, annually reviewing and revising, as necessary, to reflect changes in nursing practice
- Life Safety, Pharmacy, OSHA, Compliance, Radiation and Infection Control Officer Monitoring
- Management of medication lists, ordering, organization
- Ensure operation, maintenance and security of medical equipment, and provide liaison with PM company and other equipment vendors
- Determines and executes on daily staffing requirements and patterns, based on scope of services, complexity of patient acuity and fiscal resources
- Recruiting, hiring, and evaluating all clinical personnel
- Supervision and daily clinical staffing of clinical team including RNs, pre-op/post-op nursing, sterile tech, surgical tech and rad tech personnel
- Manages clinical staff education and competency training
- Collaborates with Director of Business Office to coordinate monthly surgery schedules, and other coverages needed
- Execute clinical policies and initiate action to enhance patient care programs
- Leader of the QAPI Committee, and member of the Medical Executive Committee and Governing Body
- Focus on quality of care and patient satisfaction
- Ability to be a team player, willing to respond quickly and flexibly to changing events and work assignments in a dynamic and challenging work environment
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Colorado
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) from American Heart Association (Required)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required)
- Two (2) years prior experience in a management role in an outpatient health care facility
- RN OR circulating nurse experience (preferred)
- Supervisory experience in a for-profit ambulatory setting
- Experience in urology, urogynecology, OB/GYN, and plastic surgery procedures (preferred)
- Familiarity with Colorado State, CMS and accreditation requirements (AAAHC preferred).
- Proficient in computer programs including Excel and Word, and prior experience with scheduling software and materials management purchasing systems
- Extremely self-directed, highly organized, resourceful and ability to plan all necessary clinical operations
- Accustomed to working in ambiguous situations by embracing ambiguity and challenge.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
