Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our public school consulting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applied behavior analysis and a passion for improving the lives of individuals with different learning abilities. As a BCBA, you will be responsible for assessing, developing, and implementing behavior intervention plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Staff training in public schools and supervision of RBTs/BCBA Candidates is a large part of this role. Your expertise will play a crucial role in fostering positive behavioral changes and enhancing the overall quality of life for those you serve.
Responsibilities
- Conduct functional behavior assessments to identify behavioral challenges and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement evidence-based interventions using applied behavior analysis.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with IEP teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide training and support to staff on behavioral strategies and interventions.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in the field.
Skills
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Strong client care skills with a focus on empathy and understanding.
- Experience in educational settings, working with children who have developmental disabilities such as ASD, and other diagnoses such as ADHD.
- Proficient in diagnostic evaluation techniques to assess client needs effectively.
- Ability to document medical information accurately and comprehensively.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly children.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy principles and practices.
- Expertise in applied behavior analysis methodologies.
- Strong patient assessment skills to evaluate progress and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
