Job Title: Behavioral Technician- Early Intervention

Company: Milestones Behavioral Pediatrics

Location: De Pere, WI

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Hours: Expected 10 hours per week

Shift Options: 7:30-4:30 Monday-Thursday, 7:30-4:00 on Fridays. Flexibility within those timeframes.

About Milestones Behavioral Pediatrics:

Milestones Behavioral Pediatrics is dedicated to supporting children ages 2 to 18 with autism and other developmental disabilities, including ODD, Fragile X Syndrome, Down Syndrome, ADHD and more. As a BCBA-owned organization, we take pride in our commitment to supervision and oversight, fostering ongoing growth for both our clients and our team. Each child is evaluated prior to starting, and an individualized treatment plan is created for them. Once they begin, they will work towards achieving the goals and milestones outlined in their treatment plan. This is done in a 1:1 fashion, with each child being staffed with one technician while they are present.

Position Overview:

This position is primarily responsible for implementing direct ABA programming to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental delays. This position follows written programs and behavior support plans, generalizes and maintains skills, conducts extra learning opportunities, and accepts and implements feedback given by the supervisor. No prior experience is needed, and all training is paid. Must be able to complete 40 hours of training within 3 weeks of hire. Flexible schedules, work around existing school schedules or other commitments. A Day in the Life:

As a Behavioral Technician at Milestones Behavioral Pediatrics, you will have a schedule that involves working with clients one on one in our center.

Here's what a typical day might look like:

9:00 am - 12:00 pm: Begin your day with your first clients, implementing individualized behavior plans and collecting data on progress. You’ll use ethical guidelines to help your client achieve their goals.

12:00 pm - 12:30 pm: Take a well-deserved lunch break, recharging for your next session.

12:30 pm - 4:00 pm: Work with your second group of clients, continuing to implement behavior plans, collecting data, and providing support. Transparent communication with colleagues, supervisors, and families are key during this time.

4:00 pm - 4:15 pm: Finish any paperwork for the day, tidy the center, and wrap up your day.

Throughout your day, you’ll be integrating our core values into your work—ensuring that every action you take is guided by honesty, integrity, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement individualized behavior plans for children with ASD, adhering strictly to ethical guidelines and best practices.

Collect and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of behavior plans, contributing to the continuous improvement of our services.

Provide positive reinforcement to encourage desired behaviors, always prioritizing the well-being and dignity of the learner.

Monitor and document the progress of learners, ensuring all records are maintained with transparency and accuracy.

Communicate regularly with families, guardians, and other professionals about client progress, ensuring open and honest dialogue.

Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for all learners, reflecting our commitment to ethical service delivery.

Qualifications:

Preferred: Current RBT certification, but not required.

Required: Successful completion of a background check, at least 18 years old, high school diploma or the equivalent, and a genuine passion for working with children and families.

Must adhere to the highest ethical standards in all aspects of the role.

Hiring Process at Milestones Behavioral Pediatrics

Our hiring process is designed to ensure that both you and our team have the opportunity to determine if we’re the right fit for each other.

Step 1: Initial Interview

  • Format: Your first interview will be either over the phone or in person, depending on preference and availability.
  • Content: During this interview, we will ask a series of general, get to know you, questions, as well as ABA specific questions to gauge your understanding of the field and your approach to working with children and families.
  • Confirmation: We will contact you 24 hours before your scheduled interview time to confirm the appointment. Please respond by the end of the business day before the interview to ensure a smooth process.

Step 2: In-Person Panel Interview

  • Format: If you advance to the next stage, you will be invited to an in-person interview.
  • Panel: This interview will be conducted by a panel that may include the Director of Operations, Executive Assistant, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and/ or a Behavioral Technician. This diverse panel ensures that we gather feedback from different perspectives within our team.
  • Dress Code: The dress code for this interview is business casual. We recommend that you wear something comfortable, as you may be asked to get on the floor and engage in play-based activities during the interview.

Final Steps:

  • Feedback and Decision: After the in-person interview, our team will review feedback from all panel members. We strive to make our decisions quickly, but thoroughness is key to ensuring the best fit.
  • Communication: We will keep you informed throughout the process, so you always know where you stand.
