What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Specialist Bilingual position at Milestones?
The Essential Functions of this position are :

- Must participate in on site and remote direct implementation of ABA programs across sessions for all areas of the students Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
- Proficiency with responsibilities associated with the Behavior Specialist I position.
- Demonstrate and maintain proficiency in using behavior skills training (BST) to train staff.
- Assist Special Education Teacher and Behavior Analyst in maintaining up-to-date graphs via graphing software or other visual display.
- Analyze and report trend on IEP objectives to Special Education Teacher and Behavior Analyst via appropriate protocols at established frequency.
- Actively participate in the implementation of baseline, treatment, and generalization of skills across sessions for all areas of the students Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
- Provide direct student care following the prescribed Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP).
- Assist Special Education Teacher and Behavior Analyst in the preparation of the school day (preparing student workspace, and classroom, obtaining required materials for the day, etc.).
- Utilize safe and appropriate handling, management and guidance procedures when transporting or working with students.
- Must implement all PMT techniques as necessary per certification standards and in line with organizational policy and maintain certification.
- Properly wear PPE, attend all trainings related to PPE and follow all safety procedures and requirements with or without accommodation.
- Maintain dignity, confidentiality & professionalism with students and adhere to policy and protocols.
- Accompany students on community outings and / or vocational placements as specified by student's programming.
- Participate in MBS assigned trainings - in person, synchronous, asynchronous or remote.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by the Special Education Teacher or Behavior analyst.
- Must be able to administer in person or virtual assessments for students.
- Communication with families (e.g., translating conversations and written documents).
- Complete other tasks as assigned.
