We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional guest experiences. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in setting the tone for their visit. Your responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of service within the restaurant or hotel environment. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using Aloha POS or similar systems.
- Communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times and special requests.
- Provide exceptional customer service by anticipating guests' needs and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Assist with phone etiquette by answering calls professionally and providing information about menu items, specials, and services.
- Collaborate with the restaurant staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area and dining room.
- Help train new staff members on guest services protocols and POS systems as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in guest services or customer service roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- A background in food service or hospitality is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
