Geriatric Nursing Support Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Graduate Practical Nurse (GPN) to join our Miletree Center team. As a GPN, you will play a vital role in supporting our geriatric patients, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
This role requires a strong understanding of geriatric nursing principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You will be responsible for evaluating patients/residents, contributing to nursing assessments, supervising patient care, and administering medications as per physician orders.
- Administer medications and performs treatments per physician orders.
- Supervise and monitor patient care provided by unlicensed staff.
- Evaluate patients/residents to collect data, observe condition and report changes in condition.
To be successful in this role, you must be a graduate of an approved school for vocational nursing, currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing, or pending licensed practical nurse licensure. Experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing is preferred.
